Welcome to FoxDen Farm. We are Trever and Lahna Fox and our small farm is located just outside the town of Yamhill in the beautiful Willamette Valley. The farm sits on 17 acres of hilly ground providing excellent drainage which promotes good hoof health. Healthy hooves makes for a happy herd.
In 2013, on the day of our 28th wedding anniversary, we brought home 2 full blood pregnant does we purchased from Joyce Peterson of Oregon Boer Goats. Along with the goats came a wonderful mentor and friend. Every day is a new opportunity for learning. Some lessons are more painful than others. (Watch out for flying hooves while giving the girls their monthly pedicure.) There is nothing better in this world than helping a newborn kid find it way that first meal. Fun is an obvious byproduct of raising these uniquely curious animals.
We manage a small herd (25-30 brood does) of full blood African Boer goats. Our goal is to maintain a herd that is manageable without the use of hired help. We sell most of the kids each year for breeding stock, 4-H and FFA shows or meat. We retain small numbers to continue with the improvement of our herd. We are focused on breed standards and healthy herd management. We want our customers to be happy with Boer goats purchased from our farm.
We are members of the ABGA (American Boer Goat Association), SRMGA (Snake River Meat Goat Assn), CBGA (Cascade Boer Goat Association) and OMGP (Oregon Meat Goat Producers). Our Boers are primarily registered with the ABGA.
